Promotion of Sopot in the Swedish Magazine Hemmets Journal
In the April issue of the weekly magazine Hemmets Journal, an article promoting the pearl of the Baltic – Sopot – will be published. Hemmets Journal is a Swedish weekly magazine published since 1921 by the Egmont publishing house. The magazine is the most popular women’s and family weekly in Scandinavia, with a total readership of nearly 500,000 people. The article is the result of a study visit by Swedish journalist Anna Wahlgren, who visited Sopot in autumn 2024 during a press trip.
In the article, the journalist recommends Sopot, comparing the resort to the French Saint-Tropez. She tells readers that tourists come to Sopot in search of a rich spa offer, excellent cuisine, and also that it attracts lovers of a “slow-life” lifestyle.
Readers can also learn that Sopot is a city where you can experience peace and relaxation thanks to its proximity to the sea and wonderful nature. The journalist also recommends the spa offer and beauty services (hair care, manicure and pedicure, facial rejuvenation treatments), which are available at competitive prices for Scandinavians. In the article, the journalist recommends walking around Sopot and points out as an advantage that everything can be reached within 15–30 minutes, without the need to use a car. This allows visitors to fully appreciate the intimate character of the place.
Anna describes Sopot as an elegant Polish seaside resort – ideal for those who want to relax surrounded by beautiful nature (sandy beaches, the Tricity Landscape Park, and greenery in parks – over 60% of the city’s area consists of green spaces!).
The journalist also recommends taking advantage of Sopot’s rich gastronomic offer. She suggests visiting the restaurant Vinissimo, which was distinguished in the MICHELIN Guide in 2024 and 2025.
The article also recommends visiting the historic Grand Hotel, which has hosted distinguished guests from the worlds of politics, culture, and entertainment.

We warmly invite you to visit Sopot!
